Cost of housing foreign convicts

CTF Prairie Director Colin Craig comments on the cost of housing foreign convicts in Canadian jails. As of September 2010, there were 554 non citizens in federal prisons. It costs approximately $114,000 a year to house one convict, so the annual costs for housing non Canadian citizens in federal prisons amounts to $63 million.
